Europe Band Milan Tickets 2026 – The Final Countdown 40th Anniversary

Swedish rock legends Europe will perform at Alcatraz Milano on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, as part of The Final Countdown 40th Anniversary Tour.

This is much more than a standard Europe concert. To celebrate four decades since the release of their breakthrough 1986 album, the band will perform The Final Countdown album in full, alongside other favourites from their career and material from their new music. The Milan concert is part of a special European tour visiting 12 countries during September and October 2026.

Fans can expect to hear songs including “The Final Countdown”, “Carrie”, “Rock the Night” and “Cherokee” in a show built specifically around the anniversary. According to Joey Tempest, this will be only the second time in the band's career that they have performed The Final Countdown album in its entirety.

The Final Countdown returns to Milan 40 years later

Released in 1986, The Final Countdown transformed Europe into an international rock phenomenon. The title track reached No. 1 in 25 countries, while the album also produced some of the band's most recognisable songs. Decades later, the track remains enormously popular and passed one billion YouTube views in 2022, making Europe the first Swedish band to achieve that milestone with a single song.

Milan has already played an important role in the album's anniversary history. Europe performed at Alcatraz Milano in 2016 for the 30th anniversary of The Final Countdown, with the venue later confirming that the concert was sold out. The band returned to Alcatraz again in November 2017 during the Walk the Earth era.

Ten years after that sold-out anniversary show, Europe now return to the same Milan venue to celebrate the album's 40th anniversary.

New Europe music in 2026

The concert also arrives at the beginning of a new chapter for the band. Europe will release their 12th studio album, Come This Madness, on 25 September 2026, less than three weeks before the Milan show.

Produced by Tom Dalgety, the album includes new tracks such as “One on One”, “The Cult of Ignorance”, “Come This Madness” and “Scandinavian Eyes”. This means the Alcatraz concert will combine the band's biggest classic songs with material from their newest album.

Canadian rock band The Damn Truth will open the Milan concert.
