Milan and Barcelona meet again

Barcelona remain one of the most recognisable names in European basketball and began their 2026/27 EuroLeague campaign with a victory over Anadolu Efes. Their roster combines experienced European players with high-level perimeter scoring, providing a contrasting challenge to Olimpia's own rebuilt group.

EA7 Emporio Armani Milan start the season as reigning Italian champions after completing a domestic treble in 2025/26. Peppe Poeta's squad includes Marko Guduric, Darius Thompson, Leandro Bolmaro, Alec Peters, Devin Booker and several established Italian internationals.

Games against Barcelona have long been among the more attractive dates on Milan's European schedule. Both clubs are accustomed to playing possession-heavy EuroLeague basketball where individual matchups, shooting and late-game execution can quickly decide the outcome.

Barcelona at the Unipol Forum

The fixture takes place at the Unipol Forum in Assago, Olimpia's home for major EuroLeague nights. Barcelona's travelling support and international profile also make this a popular choice for basketball fans visiting Milan.
