Built in 1990, the Forum di Milano won the 1994 European Architecture Award for Sporting Venues and has been Milan's premier indoor arena ever since. Carrying successive sponsor names (FilaForum, DatchForum, Mediolanum Forum, today Unipol Forum) and located in Assago just south of the city, it combines arena-scale capacity with a packed, year-round calendar.
It is the home court of Olimpia Milano in Italian basketball and the EuroLeague, and has welcomed legendary acts including U2, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Italian stars like Vasco Rossi. Concerts, family shows on ice, tennis exhibitions and award ceremonies fill out a programme that draws fans from across northern Italy.
